This is a moulage for a simple bruise. You can vary the age of the bruise by using more or less of the different colors.


Start with a Ben Nye F/X Color Wheel for bruises. As you can see, it cost me $9.50 at a costume store. Most costume stores carry it.











Begin by dabbing on the darkest color in a non-specific pattern. Continue to add dabs of color working your way from the darkest shade to the lightest.


Once all four colors are applied, pat the area thoroughly to blend the colors. Adjust as necessary.

This simulates a fresh bruise that I put together rather quickly, so it could stand a little touch-up.
